KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) stayed a notice of recovery issued by Additional Commissioner, Inland Revenue, Range 2, RTU 3, Zone 2 against petitioner Nova Hemis Pharmaceuticals Private Limited.
The petitioner represented by Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate assailed the notice amounting to rupees 32,107,198 for the tax year 2016. The notice was issued on Feb 01,2019. The counsel maintained that an appeal filed against the impugned notice is pending but the department is moving to effect recovery by resorting to coercive means.
The bench after hearing the counsel stayed the same directing the respondents not to take any coercive action against the petitioner till March 20, the next date of hearing.[the_ad id=”31605″]
