KARACHI: A division bench of High Court ordered Pakistan Customs to satisfy the court in a dispute of PCT heading while fixing Feb 28 for a detailed hearing.

The bench comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Abdul Malik Gaddi earlier heard a petition filed by Chief Autos Private Limited through Franklin Law Associates. The petitioner company imported a consignment of auto parts and upon arrival filed a Goods Declaration but the appraising officer disputed the PCT heading on ground that usage could be different.

The department has already lost even at Supreme Court but still SCRA against order of the Special Customs Appellate Court which is in favour of the petitioner.

The bench observed that since many months the matter is pending and needs to be resolved. The bench asked the department to proceed on next date of hearing.
