KARACHI : An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) ordered Pakistan Customs to release the consignment imported by petitioner Humak Pvt Engineering Limited and also to issue a delay detention certificate.
The bench earlier heard a counsel from law firm Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioner company who submitted that petitioner opened Letter of Credit for importing consignment comprising AC split, floor standing, mounting parts and condensers of Diakin company. The custom detained the consignment and in all 39 consignments were stuck up. The respondent placed a ban on the consignment and also served a contravention notice. The petitioner went into adjudication which culminated into petitioner’s favour.
The bench after a detailed hearing ordered Pakistan Customs to release the consignments besides issuing delay detention certificate to the petitioner.
