KARACHI: ASO of MCC Preventive Karachi is keeping strict check on the movement of smuggled goods including contrabands; and seized large quantity of betel nut worth Rs15.6 million.
Information was passed through Deputy Collector Muhammad Faisal about the movement of smuggled goods. In liaison with Maripur Police, ASO staff seized two containers along with three Mazda trucks loaded with 930 gunny bags of betel nuts (55,800 kg) worth Rs15.6 million.
Value of containers and three Mazda trucks is Rs4.0 million. Total value of seized goods and conveyance is to the tune of Rs20 million.
