KARACHI: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of MCC Preventive Karachi is pursuing a rigorous crackdown against smuggling, and seized huge quantity of smuggled diesel and petrochemicals in the last two days.
On the directives of Deputy Collector Muhammad Faisal, ASO Preventive Karachi raided an illegal depot in Nazimabad adjoining SITE area near Habib Bank Chowrangi, Karachi and recovered 17,486 liters of smuggled diesel worth Rs1.66 million along with 2,000 liters of petrochemicals worth Rs131,289.
Earlier, ASO Preventive Karachi seized one Hino water tanker bearing registration No TTC-653 and recovered 10,000 liters smuggled diesel worth Rs950,000 from Northern bypass area, Karachi. Value of tanker is 1.5 million.
