KARACHI: The hearing of a number of identical appeals filed against Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) was adjourned till Dec 12. The petition was filed by PEGASUS which said that respondents officials of the SRB are collecting dues directly from the bank account of the petitioner.
The bench was prayed to order that such a method of collecting dues is illegal. The SRB cannot act without notice to the petitioners, also the period after passing of an assessment order, further action could be taken after expiry of 30 days.
The bench after hearing the counsel for petitioners fixed Dec 12 for a final hearing and judgment.
