KARACHI: Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) expressed concerns over interrupted gas and water supply to the industry, which increased cost and time of production.
In a statement, President KATI Danish Khan said that industry was facing issues of higher cost of production and now interruption of gas and water supplies were creating more hurdles.
He said that if the situation prevailed it would result in disastrous effects on country’s economy.
“Due to shortage of water faced by industry since weeks, production has been disturbed, if this continues further, it would hurt our exports and eventually the economy”.
He urged the PM Imran Khan, Finance Minister Asad Umer and Advisor for Finance and Industry Abdul Razzaq Dawood to take immediate notice of the situation.
