KARACHI: Justice Junaid Ghaffar of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Thursday allowed a suit filed by Gillani traders which imported home appliances including hair straightner, vaccum cleaners etc.
The Director General Valuation enhanced the valuation rate which was challenged by the importer before Special Customs Appellate Tribunal which ruled in favour of the importer/ appellant. In the mean while the consignment was released against security deposited with the Nazir of SHC.
Today, a counsel from Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioner submitted that in view of the order of the tribunal, the security deposited by the petitioner be released.
The bench allowing the suit directed the Nazir of SHC to release the securities as per decree.
