KARACHI: The staff of Customs Preventive posted at Jinnah International Airport has foiled a bid to smuggle gold ornaments and memory cards and arrested three persons.

According to details, based on the information received from Deputy Collector Yousuf Ali Magsi, Customs staff stopped three passengers namely Mohammad Imran, Anila Imran and Maheen Patel coming from UAR via Emirates Airline,

Upon search, staff recovered gold jewelry worth Rs20 million, and 24,000 memory cards worth Rs2.5 million from their possession. The accused had concealed the goods tactfully under their clothes.

The accused have been arrested and remand from the concerned court was obtained for further investigations.
