KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Yousuf Ali Sayeed on Monday ordered provisional release of two separate consignments of pencils while hearing two identical petitions.
Dollar Industry and Real Enterprises moved the court against alleged illegal enhancement of customs value by Director General Valuation. The counsel for petitioners submitted that SHC bench has already allowed provisional release of the goods in CP D 4970/2015 dated 9-9-2016 and these petitions also are identical in nature.
The bench after confirming the fact from Masooda Siraj Advocate, counsel for Directorate of Valuation, ordered provisional release on same terms and conditions while ordering that these two petitions be also fixed with the leading main petition CP-D 4970 of 2015.
