KARACHI: Foreign direct investment in Pakistan has surged by 10 percent to $1.080 billion primarily on the back of flows from China under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Monday.
Net foreign investment in the country in the last six months July 01 to December 31, 2016 increased by 52.5 percent to $1.824 billion.
Meahnwhile, outflows from Pakistan’s equity market were recorded at $254 million during the first quarter of the current fiscal year, up from $236 million of the same period last year.
