KARACHI: Directorate Customs Valuation has revised the customs values of polyester spun yarn, viscose spun yarn and other blends vide Valuation Ruling No.983/2016.
All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) approached Director General Customs Valuation stating that subject yarn items are being rampantly under-invoiced and consequently, financially damaging local manufacturers directly.
APTMA requested the DG Customs Valuation to determine the customs values of the goods in line with the prevailing prices in the international market.
Director Wasif Memon formed a team comprising Additional Director Imran Bukhari, Deputy Director Shoib Raza, Principal Appraiser Stephan to determine the values of goods afresh.
