KARACHI: The Sindh High court has stayed the re-export of a consignment imported by M/s Anum Traders, which Customs Appellate Tribunal had allowed for being frustrated cargo.
MCC Port Qasim had approached Sindh High Court seeking stay against re-export of a consignment of Ku-Band Universal PLL Single LNBF.
The Customs Appellate Tribunal had ordered the Collectorate to remit the fine and penalty imposed on the goods and the importer.
As regard to issue of request made on part of the importer for re-export of the offending goods Ku-Band Universal PLL Single LNBF which was not ordered and was wrongly load in the container of M/s Anum Traders by mistake by the foreign supplier admitted by the supplier, Tribunal advised the Collectorate to allow re-export.
However, MCC Port Qasim approached High Court and secured stay against the Tribunal’s order staying re-export.
