KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has nominated focal persons for USAID-Pakistan Regional Economic Integration Activity Project (PREIA).
The focal Persons will prepare detailed Terms of Reference (ToRs) of respective activities, decide timelines, identify the needed human and material resources, and oversee implementation in co-ordination with the USAID.
Director General Reforms & automation would look after ISO certification of Customs House while Director Reforms & Automation Karachi would ensure ICT up-gradation of the entire system.
Director (Hqrs) Intelligence & Investigation (Customs), Islamabad would form joint information & targeting center and would keep liaison with regional partners.
Collector MCC Port Qasim would look after enquiry points and authorized economic operations’ Collector MCC Appraisement East would look after advanced ruling centers and compilation of customs manuals.
Collector MCC Appraisement (West) as part of small-scale infrastructure development will develop Digitized Archives of Customs Record in Appraisement Collectorate (West), Karachi and its feasibility for other Customs offices.
Chief(R&A)-FBR will act as ‘Focal Person’ for the USAID-PREIA Project at FBR(HQ).
