KARACHI: Joining hands and giving three days to recover the abducted lawyer Owais Shah, lawyer bodies threatened to bring the entire government at stand still after expiry of the period.

Karachi Bar Association (KBA), Sindh Bar Council (SBC), Malir Bar Association (MBA) and Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA)  earlier attended a joint meeting hosted by KBA at Shuhda-e-Punjab Hall where Law and Order situation particularly after the kidnapping of Barrister Owais Ali Shah, son of Chief Justice of Sindh High Court and murder of Qawwali maestro Amjad Fareed Sabri, was discussed in detail.

The meeting expressed anguish and annoyance over failure of the Sindh Police in this case and said while governments, provincial and federal claim to have a network of intelligence agencies and effective policing, they have failed to even find a clue about the abducted person. They are so far unable to even found the motive behind the planned abduction.

The lawyer bodies later gave three days to the Sindh government to recover the abducted barrister or to face a complete lock down of courts and demonstrations.
