KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate of Gwadar has surpassed the revenue collection target by 31 percent during the first ten months of the financial year (July-April 2015-16).
MCC Gwadar was assigned a total revenue collection target of Rs14.437 billion, while the collectorate collected duty/taxes of Rs18.955 billion during the period under review.
Total target of Customs Duty for MCC Gwadar from July 2015 to April 2016 was Rs1.008 billion and collection against this target for the same period stood at Rs3.51 billion.
Model Customs Collectorate Gwadar surpassed the customs duty collection target by a massive 348 percent during the first ten months of the financial year 2015-16. Total target of customs duty for MCC Gwadar from July 2015 to April 2016 was Rs1.008 billion and collection against this target for the same period stood at Rs3.51 billion.
This commendable performance is owed to the untiring efforts of officers and officials of the Collectorate headed by Collector Saeed Akram,
MCC Gwadar seized more than 2.5 million liters of high speed diesel (HSD) during this period against a total seizure of 1.3 million HSD made during the corresponding period of the last year. Among others, 7630 bottles of liquor, 10594 cans of beer and 1388 kg of narcotics were also seized by MCC Gwadar during the current financial year so far.
