KARACHI: The ASO of MCC Preventive has foiled a bid to smuggle charas and arrested one person identified as Dad Mohammad s/o Baz Mohamnmad. A passenger bus was also taken into the custody.
During snap checking of vehicles a passenger bus coming from Balochistan was signaled to stop for search by the Customs staff and later recovered two packets containing contraband Charas secreted beneath the driver’s seat in a tool box.
The owner of bus is Mehmood who is residing at Quetta. He was asked about the procurement of contraband charas to which he did not reply. Prima facie, it surfaced that he concealed the Charas beneath his seat. The contraband Charas and passenger bus were taken into possession/custody along with the driver. FIR is lodged accordingly.
