KARACHI: Chief Collector Appraisement South has notified that filing of goods declaration (GD) filing through WeBOC has been made mandatory from February 01, 2016 for less than container load (LCL) Transshipment cargo.
In this regard the transshipment of LCL Module under WeBOC has been launched on December 15, 2015 to streamline and improve operation to the transshipment scheme, which is ready to use.
This module will allow transshipment of LCL cargo from on-dock and off-dock terminals of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement East, MCC Appraisement West and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim Karachi.
The carrier should ensure that goods relating to only one specific custom-station are loaded on one conveyance.
The module facilitates transshipment from single point of entry to single point of destination. Though the facility is already available however the filing of TP GD through WeBOC system for LCL cargo will be mandatory with effect from February 01, 2016.
All stakeholders have been informed to file TP LCL GDs through WeBOC for automated clearance.
