KARACHI: The overall revenue collection by Pakistan Customs in the fiscal year so far i.e. five months (July-November 2015) has surged by 4.7 percent to Rs409.95 billion as against Rs391.46 billion in the same period last year July-November 2014.

The Customs duty collection by Pakistan Customs surged by 11 percent to Rs114.249 billion in July-November 2015 as compared with the collection of Rs102.355 billion in same period last year.

Customs duty collection by Pakistan Customs MCC south region surged by 16.6 percent to Rs97.101 billion in July-November  2015 as compared with the collection of Rs83.285 billion last year.

Overall sales tax collection at import stage stood Rs224.34 billion during the period under review, up 4.18 percent as against Rs251.484 billion in the same month last year.

Appraisement South’s collection of sales tax at import stage stood at Rs187.01 billion, up 2.74 percent as against Rs182.469 collected last year in the similar period.

Income tax collected by Pakistan Customs during July-November 2015 stood at Rs66.947 billion as compared with Rs59.59 billion last year. Appraisement South collected Income tax of Rs57.85 billion in the period as against Rs51.61 billion collected in the same period last year.

Highest revenue collection in terms of Customs duty came from MCC Appraisement West, which collected Rs21.002 billion followed by MCC Appraisement East collecting Rs28.755 billion and MCC Port Qasim collecting Rs27.375  billion in July-November  2015.

For the months of July-November  2015, MCC Rawalpindi CD collection stood at Rs1.242 billion compared with Rs1.836 billion collected in same period last year; MCC Lahore CD collection stood at Rs9.348 billion (Rs10.207 billion in July-November 2014); MCC Islamabad CD collection Rs660.51 million (Rs650.92 million July-November  2014); MCC Peshawar CD collection Rs2.999 billion (Rs2.199 billion July-November  2014); MCC Multan CD collection Rs2.483 billion (Rs3.372 billion July-November  2014); MCC Hyderabad CD collection Rs663.08 million (Rs646.28 million July-November  2014); MCC Quetta CD collection Rs809.87 million (Rs325.09 million July-November  2014); MCC Karachi preventive CD collection Rs10.036 billion (Rs5.144 billion July-November  2014); MCC Karachi EPZ-Imports CD collection stood at Rs115.28 million (Rs51.28 million July-November  2014); MCC Sialkot CD collection Rs54.63 million (Rs45.88 million July-November  2014) and MCC Faisalabad customs duty collection in July-November 2015 stood at Rs285.37 million compared with Rs756.54 million collected in July-November  2014.
