KARACHI: Customs Intelligence ASO Sukkur has seized Irani diesel (15000 liters) at national highway going to khairpur for offloading vehicle No.QAG=1567 on Thursday.
Earlier Customs Intelligence ASO Sukkur seized Borouge polyethelene (plastic dana) (24 tonnes) transported from Peshawar to Karachi in trailer No. TLU-083.
It may be mentioned here that in last 10 days, 35,000 liters of diesel has been seized, FIRs have been lodged against two persons, who were driving the vehicles. Investigations are underway to grab the entire network.

MCC Hyderabad has initiated crackdown against the smuggling of Irani diesel and petrol pumps selling the same.
Chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa and Member Customs Nisar Mohammad Khan on November 25, 2014 had directed Collectors Preventive, Quetta, Giddani and Hyderabad to start operation against smuggling of Irani diesel and petrol pumps selling the smuggled commodity.
Collector MCC Hyderabad Dr. Wasif Memon formed two committees of Anti-smuggling organization headed by Assistant Collector Amanullah Tareen ASO Hyderabad and Assistant Collector Ms. Zamzam Aman ASO Sukkur.
