KARACHI: An order has restricted the Federal Board of Revenue officials not to visit FBR headquarter without prior permission of the head of departments because it affects their working schedule, FBR issued a circular on Monday.
Similarly, “The practice is not only against the official decorum and established norms but at the same time affects the busy time schedule of the higher authorities of FBR,†it said.
The FBR said that all officials under the administrative control may please be advised not to violate this code of conduct and must invariably take prior permission of the competent authority before visiting FBR (HQ) for any personal or official business.
“Any violation in this regard shall be seriously viewed and may entail disciplinary action in accordance with relevant rules,†it added.
The FBR directed to all the chief commissioners/collectorates/DGs are requested to circulate these instructions down the line for information and strict compliance.
