KARACHI: Pakistan Customs to conduct auction of fresh/leftover lots commencing from March 12 to 18, 2014 at KICT West Warf, a notification said on Tuesday.
The auction-able goods are included:
1. Granite
2. Marble tiles
3. Carbonized pitch
4. Sand
5. Fertilizers
6. Carpets
7. Old and used tyres
8. Glass cullets
9. Copper ore
10. Raw rubber
11. Fresh ginger
A notification said that if the interested members do not want to come to participate personally in the auction proceedings, they may submit tender or sealed bids to the undersigned as per rule 70 of Customs Rules notified vide SRO 450(1)/2001.
“ 70-Auction through tender or offer: The bidder or offerer as defined in rule 49, may participate in auction by way of submission of sealed tender/private offer indicating the lot number and enclosing a pay order equal to at least 25 perecnt of the bid/private offer, in the name of Collector of Customs,†it said.
It added that the sealed tender/private offer may be opened by the competent authority in presence of the successful bidder in the open auction.
The tender/private offer may be accepted by the competent authority if the private offer is higher than the final bid amount in open auction, it further said.
