KARACHI: Pakistan Customs is celebrating the World Customs Day on January 26th with zeal and fervor.
The Member Customs, Nisar Mohammad Khan would start the celebrations with the hoisting of Customs flag in the morning and later a huge cache of seized contrabands would be torched including 3500 foreign liquor, millions of rupees worth gutka and a large quantity of drugs including charas and heroine near Ghaghur phatak, Karachi.
It may be mentioned that earlier these contrabands were destroyed at Neelum Colony but as soon as the goods were torched the people living nearby rushed in and looted these things creating law & order situation.
It has been circulated that the attendance of all Customs officers is mandatory on the occasion as commendation certificates would also be distributed among the star performers.
