KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has revised the Customs Values of perfumes/eau de toilette, eau de cologne, personal deodorants and body spray with a view to reflect the current prices prevalent in the international market.
An exercise to determine the customs values of the above mentioned goods afresh was taken up and different brands were separated into two categories, where brands in the A-category include Amouage, Armani, Bond No.9, Bvlgari, Burberry, Chanel, Clive Christian, Chloe, Canali, Christian Dior, Chopard, Cartier, Carolina Herrera, Dali, DKNY, Dolce & Gabana, Salvatore Ferrgamo, Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci, Guerlin, Hermes, Jean-Paul Gautier, Kari Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Lancome, Lavnir, Micallif, Mont Blanc, Nina Ricci, Parco Rubbano, Prada, Versace, Sheikh, Tussardi, YSL.
The brands in category-B include Aramis, Azzaro, body Shop, Calvin Klein, Clinique, Clarins, Davidoff, Dunhill, Estee, Lauder Escada, Elizabeth Arden, Issey Miyake, Joop Jump, Jean Patou, Kenzo, Lancaster, Liz Claiborne, MAC, Narciso, Rodriguez, Ralph Lauren, Roger & Gailet, Tommy Hill, Van Cleef & Arpels, Toni
& Guy, Perry and Ellis.
According to the Valuation Ruling No. 588/2013 available with Customnews.pk, the perfumes of all origins in Category-A under HS Code 3303.0010 will be assessed at the rate of (C&F) $204 per KG (net content weight) while those in Category-B under HS Code 3303.0090 of all origins will be assessed at $102 per KG.
Perfumes other than above mentioned brands of all origins including China will be assessed at (C&F) $17 per KG (net content value).
The eau de toilette/eau de cologne of all origins in Category-A under HS Code 3303.0010 will be assessed at the rate of (C&F) $136 per KG (net content weight) while those in Category-B under HS Code 3303.0090 of all origins will be assessed at $85 per KG.
The above mentioned brands of body spray, deodorants and anti-perspirants of all origins under HS Code 3307.2000 will be assessed at $40.80 per KG for Category-A brands and at $17 per KG for Category-B brands.
Body spray, deodorants and anti-perspirants of all origins excluding China will be assessed at (C&F) $3.4 per Kg (net content value) and of China origin at $2.38 per KG.
