KARACHI:  Pakistan Customs has issued new valuation ruling for determination of duty on import of toilet soaps and goods declaration filed under automated electronic system.
The authorities issued Valuation Ruling No.496 on Thursday for re-determination of customs values of such goods, which were deemed necessary for matching the current price trend of toilet soaps in the international markets.
Market enquiry has been made base for determination of prices under the new ruling.
All toilet soaps which were normally declared under PCT 3401.1100 and 3401.1900 creating issues of prices of different brands and quality goods. Therefore, new PCT codes have been introduced for declaration of goods in Web Based One Custom (WeBOC).
The valuation of following items redefined through new ruling:
