KARACHI: A divisional bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan on Wednesday issued notices to the Chairman FBR, Secretary FBR, Collector Customs, Director General and Director Pakistan Customs, Valuation for Feb 23.
The bench earlier heard Saadat Yar Khan advocate, counsel for petitioner Pervez Sons Private Limited. The counsel for petitioner said that Customs Valuation issued a Valuation Ruling VR 772 /2016 replacing VR 579 of 2013. While issuing new valuation ruling, Director Valuation failed to appreciate the falling prices of the rubber, a byproduct of Petroleum in the international market and valuation on the high base price is higher and arbitrary, the counsel submitted.
The bench after hearing the counsel for petitioner ordered issuance of notices to the respondents for Feb 23.
