KARACHI: The Secretary Legal–HR of Federal Board of Revenue has asked all the Chief Commissioners Director Generals of Inland Revenue and Pakistan Customs to provide information regarding details of officers against whom NAB matters are pending and officers against whom conviction orders have been passed.
The letter to this effect was issued on 06.01.2025 and all field formations have been asked to furnish the required details by 10.1.2025. The letter was issued in compliance of order issued by Sukkur Circuit Bench of High Court of Sindh, which has taken a notice of cases where in officers facing Nab cases have retaken their postings or new better posts.
The SHC took notice of a case of appellant who was convicted by NAB yet enjoying perks and positions against which he was convicted. The court while ordering compliance of its order dated 11.12.2024 fixed 2101.2025 as next date of hearing.
