KARACHI: The Custom Appellate Tribunal Karachi comprising Abdul Jsbbar Qureshi (Member Judicial) and Abdul Basit Choudhry (Member Technical) dismissed an appeal filed by Lucky Cement Limited against an Order in Original passed by Collector of Custom Adjudication Ii while deciding a case of alleged misdeclaration of PCT heading on computerized system.
After a detailed hearing the bench said the PCT assessed after seizure by Directorate of I&I is correct. The bench upheld the Order in Original for recovery of Rupees 85,692,115 and penalty of Rupees 5,000,000 in terms of clause(14) of Section 151(1) of Custom Act 1969.
