KARACHI: Expressing annoyance over non implementation of orders passed on 4-1-2022, a custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh on Wednesday ordered to do the needful within 24 hours.
The bench was hearing a contempt of court application filed by Danial Muzaffar advocate, counsel for petitioner/applicant company Ms Royal Impex, petitioner in petition CP D 7570 of 2021. The counsel submitted that without any cogent reason, the alleged contemnors have not implemented the order dated 4-1-2021 and the matter was not sent for adjudication despite lapse of 518 days. The petitioner is suffering due to ill motivated custom officers, contended the counsel for petitioner.
The bench while ordering action within 24 hours ordered submission of compliance report tomorrow i.e 17-2-2021 and warned that failing which contempt of court charge will be framed against the alleged contemnors.
The bench on 4-1-2021 ordered concerned collectorates to release eight consignments of the petitioner on deposition of differential amounts through pay order.
