KARACHI: A constitution petition filed by M/S Al-Hadi Traders through reputed law firm Franklin Law Associates, a customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) disposed of the matter ordering the deposition of admitted amount of duty and taxes etc with the collectorate concerned.

The bench also ordered securing of the disputed amount of duty and taxes as per assessment order with the Nazir of the court after which the goods will be released.

The bench also ordered deposition of amount of fine with the Nazir of SHC.

The bench also noted that the petitioner has challenged the assessment order in an appeal. It then restrained the department from encashment of the securities till appeal is decided.
