KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) disposed of a petition filed by Bed & Blanket Private Limited directing the Customs Appellate Tribunal to decide the controversy revolving round Valuation Ruling within three weeks time.
When the petition came up for hearing, Principal Appraiser of Port Muhammad Bin Qasim appearing for his collectorate pointed out that a number of collectorates were made party while matter/Goods Declaration ertains to only MCC, East.
The bench also noted that VR has been challenged under section 25-A of the Customs Act 1969. It was also found that the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the custom tribunal. The bench later fixing time limit for deciding the controversy disposed of the petition.
