KARACHI: The Regulator of Trade Organizations taking notice of complaints against All Pakistan Customs Clearing Agents Association has ordered suspension of the elections.

In a notification issued at Islamabad, the DGTO noted that Trade Organization (TO) APCAA is violating the TO Rules and has failed in implementing an order passed by the Regulator. The complaints pertain to anomalies in the list of voters etc, deprivation of certain members of their right to contest elections.

The Regulator has also asked the APCAA to strictly adhere to TO Rules and also to announce a revised schedule of elections giving aggrieved persons opportunity to contest elections.

However a number of members in fresh complaints have drawn attention of the Regulator towards continued violation of order passed by DGTO. Taking notice of new complaints, Regulator seeking a report regarding implementation of earlier orders, held the elections in abeyance till further orders.
