MULTAN: Anti-smuggling organization Multan has seized large quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs22 million..
Acting on a tip of, the Staff of Anti-Smuggling Organization, Jhang, MCC (Enforcement and Compliance), Multan intercepted a Container trailer near Shorkot Motorway Interchange of M-4.
The examination/search of the container led to the recovery of huge quantity of smuggled/non duty paid goods including confessionary, dry fruits, betel nut and milk powder etc.
The recovered goods have been seized. The CIF value of the seized goods is Rs21.97 million involving Duty/Taxes Rs 9.4 million and the value of the carrier vehicle is Rs 15 million.
Further proceeding and investigation is under way.
