KARACHI: A custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Mahmood A Khan on Thursday disposed of three identical petitions filed by importers of mobile telephone parts.
Innovation Gresso Pvt Limited, G-Five Pvt Limited and Belco Trading Pvt Limited challenged the assessment of mobile telephone circuits on the basis of Assessment Alert while a Valuation Ruling is valid and holds the field.
The bench heard a counsel from Franklin Law Associates and Khalid Rajpar advocate, counsel representing respondent Pakistan Customs.
The bench deciding the petitions ordered the petitioners to pay custom duty and other taxes as assessed by the custom officers and said consignments could be released after securing entire dues of custom duty and other levies.
