KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Abdul Malik Gaddi on Thursday asked the counsel for DIT, Pakistan Customs to seek instructions and submit a reply before next date of hearing.

The bench was hearing a petition filed by Digicom Mobile Private Limited which imports mobile telephone sets.

According to a lawyer from Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioner/ importer the department has received duty and taxes but still holds 3000 mobile sets.

It was further contended that following announcement of amnesty scheme, the help up consignment must be released.

The court in view of new government policy asked the counsel appearing for the respondent DIT to seek instructions and submit a written reply by Dec 31.
