QUETTA: As per the directives of Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), MCC Quetta is pursuing a rigorous anti-smuggling campaign and seized smuggled goods worth Rs30 million.

Information was received from Collector Ashraf Ali that attempt would be made to transport smuggled goods. Subsequently, staff of Custon Check-post Surab intercepted a truck 100km from Khuzdar and recovered 16.5 tons of betel nut.

In another case, the staff of custom check post Kolpur seized 32,000 liters of Irani Diesel. It may be mentioned here that FTO has directed customs authorities to curb all kind of smuggling of illegal oil/ diesel and non-custom-paid vehicles.

Collector MCC Quetta Ashraf Ali has appreciated the role of newly posted Assistant Collectors preventive and his team including Superintendent Abdul Razaq Inspectors Ghulam Hussan Khoso and Ahmed Nawaz Zehri.
