KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Karachi successfully conducted an operation on September 15, 2024.
Acting on credible information received by Collector Basit Abbasi and Additional Collector Dawood Pirzado, a team led by Deputy Collector Raza Naqvi, along with Preventive Officers Saqlain Chadhar and Syed Asif, raided a godown adjacent to Qauf Educational Academy near Sir Syed Chowk, Scheme 33, Karachi.
During the operation, approximately 25 tons of smuggled betel nuts were recovered. The seized goods, valued at around Rs 25 million, were transported to the Collectorate’s warehouse using four rented Mazda vehicles for detailed examination and further legal proceedings. An FIR is being lodged against the culprits in the Customs Court.
