KHUZDAR: In a significant move against fuel smuggling, Customs Khuzdar launched a comprehensive crackdown on fuel stations along the Hub Bypass. The operation, which commenced at 3:00 AM and concluded at 2:00 PM, resulted in the dismantling of over 30 fuel stations. During the raid, authorities recovered a substantial 51,300 liters of smuggled Iranian fuel.

The operation was a coordinated effort involving multiple agencies, including the Police, Frontier Corps (FC), Levies, Coast Guard, and Military Intelligence (MI). on the instructions of Collector Tahir Qureshi, Deputy Collector Talha Salman and Assistant Collector Bakhtyar Memon spearheaded the operation, ensuring its success.

Dispensers, generators, and other equipment used in the illegal fuel trade were seized and dismantled. This rigorous anti-smuggling campaign is part of a broader initiative to curb the negative impacts of smuggling on the country’s economy. Smuggling not only undermines legal businesses but also results in significant revenue losses for the government.

The authorities have reiterated their commitment to continuing such operations to eliminate smuggling activities and protect the economic interests of the country.

It may be mentioned here that authorities are helpless against the fuel mixed with white spirit and hydrocarbon solvent, which is also damaging for the vehicles and also a security hazard.
