KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue has notified transfers of 12 BS-21-22 officers of Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service to Member (Admin Pool), Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.
Expressing surprise, an official said these were well reputed officers and doing good job, making them OSD is surprising. The transfers are made on the instructions of Prime Minister, sources said.

An official reported a prevailing atmosphere of apprehension within the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) following the unprecedented simultaneous transfer of a group of officers, which included esteemed individuals such as Ms. Shah Bano and Muhammad Saleem. This marks the first instance of mass transfer directives affecting both IRS and PCS officers. According to sources, the officers were divided into three categories by sensitive intelligence agencies, although the intelligence assessments concerning these individuals were later deemed inaccurate. Among those reassigned was an IRS officer distinguished with the Pride of Performance award for his commendable contributions to the FATF-related operations, who, along with others, is recognized for their integrity in the Customs department.
Meanwhile FBR notified further transfers and postings of PCS officers to fill the offices vacated by officers moved to Admin Pool. These postings are meritorious and high-profile officers are posted at sensitive positions.

Mr. Faiz Ahmad (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-22) is moved to Director General, Customs Academy of Pakistan (CAP), Karachi (The post will remain upgraded as personal to him and for as long as it is held by him) from the office of Director General, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation,FBR, Islamabad.
Mr. Muhammad Sadiq (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) to Director General, Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi from Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement (Punjab), Custom House, Lahore.
Mr. Abdul Qadir Memon (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) to Director General, Directorate General of IPR (Enforcement), Islamabad from Chief Collector of Customs Balochistan, Custom House, Quetta.
Ms. Seema Raza Bokhari (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) is assigned the additional charge of the post of Deputy Director General, Directorate General of National Nuclear Detection Architecture (NNDA), Islamabad in addition to her already assigned duties as Chief Collector of Customs (North), Custom House, Islamabad.
Mr. Muhammad Ali Raza Hanjra (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) moved to Director General, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation,FBR, Islamabad. The officer is also assigned the additional charge of the post of Project Director (ITTMS), Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad.
