KARACHI: The employees of Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) have not received their salaries for the month of October 2023, as the company is facing financial difficulties due to the non-payment of dues by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
According to details, PRAL is owed Rs. 183 million by FBR for the services rendered under the previous years’ Service Level Agreement (SLA) that ended on June 30th, 2023. The SLA for the current year is also pending approval and is under review at FBR.
Moreover, PRAL has also not received Rs. 85 million from Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) for the provision of IT services.
The statement said that PRAL management is in constant contact with FBR and PRA officials and is trying to resolve the issue as soon as possible. It assured the employees that their salaries will be disbursed as soon as the funds are released by FBR and PRA.
PRAL is a subsidiary of FBR and provides IT solutions for tax collection and administration. It has over 1,000 employees across the country.
