The Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA), a body of licensed customs agents in Karachi, has announced that it will hold its annual general elections for the term 2023-2024 on September 23, 2023. The elections will take place at the KCAA Auditorium (Head Office) in Karachi, where the members will elect the managing committee of the association.
According to the election notice issued by the KCAA, the last date for filing nomination forms is September 2, 2023, and the scrutiny of the nominations will be done on September 4, 2023. The list of eligible candidates will be displayed on September 5, 2023, and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is September 16, 2023. The final list of candidates will be displayed on September 18, 2023.
The KCAA has requested all its members to bring their original Custom House Agent License (CHAL) booklet and KCAA smart card to cast their vote. The association has also reminded its members to clear their outstanding membership fees by September 2, 2023, otherwise they will not be able to participate in the election process or vote.
The KCAA was established in 1968 and represents the interests of more than 1,000 customs agents in Karachi. The association aims to promote and protect the rights and welfare of its members, as well as to facilitate trade and commerce through efficient customs clearance services. The association also provides training and education to its members and organizes various events and activities for them.
