KARACHI: Pakistani manufacturers participated in Texworld/Apparel Sourcing USA 2023, the largest sourcing event on the East Coast, held at Javits Convention Center in New York City from July 18 to 20.
The event attracted more than 986 exhibitors from 26 countries, offering a wide range of textile and apparel products and services to buyers from various sectors. The event also featured country pavilions of Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
Pakistan had direct exhibitors as well as a national pavilion organized by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the premier trade organization of the country. TDAP facilitated the Pakistani exhibitors by providing them with market information, matchmaking services, promotional support and logistic assistance.
The Pakistani exhibitors included Castle Industries, Creative Apparels (Pvt) Ltd, Katarya Impex and Mahmood Textile Mills Ltd. They displayed their products such as fabrics, garments, home textiles and accessories to potential buyers from the US and other markets.
The Pakistani exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the event and said that they met buyers from different countries and received positive feedback and inquiries. They also appreciated the role of TDAP in facilitating their participation and promoting their products.
