LAHORE: On the directions of the Director of FIA Lahore, a major operation was carried out to nab a notorious accused who was involved in fraudulent activities. The accused has been identified as Muhammad Ashraf, son of Manzor Ahmad and resident of Shaikhupura.
According to the sources, the accused had extorted a staggering amount of Rs2.5 million from a passenger, by falsely promising to send him to Canada. The victim, who had handed over the money, later discovered that he had been duped by the accused.
Taking swift action, the FIA launched a raid to arrest the accused and bring him to justice. During the operation, multiple passports and fake visa stickers of Canada and other countries were recovered, along with other incriminating documents.
The raiding team included Inspector/ SHO Waqar Hussain Awan, SI Khalid Saeed, ASI Muaz Sulehri, FC Umarkhalid and FC Ahmad Hassan.
The FIA officials have lauded the operation and urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The accused will be presented before the court for trial and will face severe punishment for his fraudulent activities. The FIA has vowed to continue its efforts to rid the society of such elements and ensure the safety and security of the citizens.
