KARACHI: A custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh has refused to entertain or interfere in a matter wherein adjudication proceedings are being in progress before custom adjudicator.
The bench was hearing a constitutional petition filed by M/s Rock Mars Ind. (Pvt) Ltd VS Fed. of Pakistan and Others. The counsel for petitioner argued at length but later confined his arguments to the extent that he will not press the petition if the direction is issued to the custom authorities that they will not en-cash the security furnished by the petitioner company.
The bench said that it did not see any reason to interfere with the matter as adjudication proceedings are continuing before the custom authorities. The bench asked the counsel to move the custom authorities for the purpose and observed that authorities concerned will act strictly in accordance with law. With the above observations, the bench disposed of the petition.
