QUETTA: Chief Collector Baluchistan Muhammad Sadiq inaugurated the TP Module at NLC Dry Port Quetta at a ceremony attended by a large number of traders and office bearers of trade bodies including Haji Fojan, Haji Mehmood, Muhammad Hasan Butt, Haji Javed, Alamgir Durrani, Haji Shahbaz, Muhammad Ahmed, Abdullah Achakzai and others.
Several Customs officers including Additional Collectors Khayal Muhammad and Aftabullah Shah, Assistant Collectors Usman Aziz and Aqsa Abbasi, Superintendent Tariq Salman and many inspectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Haji Fojan thanked Customs authorities, particularly Chief Collector Muhammad Sadiq, Additional Collectors Khayal Muhammad and Aftabullah Shah. He said the world was changing rapidly and trade compliance and methods are modernizing.
He said initially they were not aware of the new system/module and they were reluctant to adopt the new method. However, with education and awareness about the new module, traders adopted this and TP Module has eased much of their work and will help in promoting trade in the province.
In his address, Chief Collector explained the process of implementing TP Module from Taftan and underlined the benefits of the new system. He said Customs was adopting the cutting age technology and best practices to facilitate trade.
Initially there were some hiccups in the implementation and operation of the4 system due to which trader community was reluctant to adopt the TP Module. However, with untiring efforts of Customs officers/officials and input from traders, all the issues were resolved. Now traders can easily dispatch their goods across the country without any hurdles.
He said the new TP Module will promote trade and business in the region and help improve the economic situation of the people of Baluchistan. He said Customs was always available to facilitate trade and help business community overcome problems.
