KARACHI: PTI (Pakistan Tehreek_Insaaf) government may complete five year term if Imran Khan steps down.
This minus Imran formula is getting momentum and is being advanced as only democratic way to resolve existing political turmoil. It also gives a respectable exit to Imran Khan and allow him to lead his party as done by former three time PM and PML_N supreme leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif after he was disqualified by Supreme Court of Pakistan.
However, Imran Khan is resisting a democratic step and those who knows him believe that he may endanger peace within the country leading to extra constitutional step derailing democratic process. PTI, however has many PMs in waiting and Asad Umer Secretary General of PTI is considered to be a candidate acceptable to combined opposition.
Let PTI complete it’s term so that it either deliver in remaining term or become history, said a senior politician, advising Imran Khan to accept the reality that his fate has been sealed and respectable exit would be safe for him.
