KARACHI: The leadership of Businessmen Group (BMG) and Office Bearers of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) have expressed deep grief and sorrow on sad demise of seasoned businessman and Former President KCCI Muhammad Haroon Agar who passed away on Tuesday in United States after protracted illness.
In a joint statement issued, Chairman BMG Zubair Motiwala, Vice Chairmen BMG Tahir Khaliq, Haroon Farooki, Anjum Nisar and Jawed Bilwani, General Secretary BMG AQ Khalil, President KCCI Muhammad Idrees, Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Naqi and Vice President Qazi Zahid Hussain expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathies with bereaved family members of Late Haroon Agar.
They said that Late Haroon Agar was an enthusiastic and dedicated BMGIAN who will always be remembered for raising a strong voice to advocate the rights of business & industrial community during his tenure as President KCCI in 2012-13 and otherwise also. Late Haroon Agar owned a very unique personality which was admired by thousands of people who had the opportunity of interacting with him.
BMG & KCCI Leadership stated that Haroon Agar, who was also Chairman of BMG’s Finance Committee since the Group was formed in 1998, contributed actively from time to time in further improving the image of Karachi Chamber by voluntarily offering his services in various capacities during the last more than two decades. Because of his most friendly and polite nature, Late Haroon Agar was very popular amongst businessmen, industrialists, bureaucrats, media representatives and policymakers who were deeply shocked after hearing the news of his sad demise, they added.
They prayed to Almighty Allah to shower His blessings upon the departed soul and give patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
