KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh ordered issuance of notices for Feb 02 in a petition filed by M/S Flying Paper Industries.
The bench earlier heard Haider Waheed advocate, counsel for petitioner who submitted that petitioner imported co-generation plant in parts and filed GDs which were accepted and consignments were released as Zero rated. Now more components have been imported and GDs filed but this time custom authorities are treating the imports as “independent imports” rather than part of the plant for which earlier import was made.
Ms Afsheen Aman advocate appearing for the respondent custom officials undertook to file vakalatnama and said that she intends to ensure personal appearance of respondent officers.
The bench then ordered issuance of notices to the respondents for Feb 02 with directions to respondents to appear in person with comments.
