GWADAR: Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation-Customs, Gwadar has seized large quantity of smuggled goods during the month of November, 2021.
On the instructions of the Director Agha Saeed Ahmed, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Customs), Gwadar, directed Mr. Muhammad Aftab, Deputy Director, Intelligence & Investigation (Customs), Gwadar, and teams, to make all out efforts to curb
smuggling of non duty paid and contraband items completely in its jurisdiction.
In order to cope with the menace of smuggling the officers and officials of the Directorate are staying alert 24/7.
Consequent upon this strategy the Directorate in the month of November, 2021, has seized smuggled non duty paid / contraband goods including Betel Nuts & F/o. Cloth (Mix).
Seizure cases valuing Rs.29.05 million have been made involving the evasion of duty / taxes to the tune of Rs.13.07 million.
Director has further instructed the Deputy Director to coordinate with other Law Enforcement Agencies i.e., Frontier Corps, Maritime Security Agency, Pakistan Coast Guard,
Anti Narcotics Force, Federal Investigation Agency, Balochistan Police and other local departments in this regard.
