The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 24,619.3 million on 20-Aug-2021. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: –
Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 17,578.9 million
Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 7,040.4 million
Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 24,619.3 million
During the week ended 20-Aug-2021, SBP’s reserves decreased by US$ 47 million to US$ 17,578.9 million on account of debt repayments.
On 23rd August 2021, SBP received IMF SDR Allocation funds amounting to US$ 2,751.8 million. This amount will increase FX Reserves of SBP and will be reflected in the data to be published on 2nd September 2021.
